There are six realms and six schools.

These combine in 36 patterns (the following are examples, and are not meant to indicate limits):
Control Body: make a cow pass gas, coerce a man to kneel, force birds to fly away from fields, make a plant grow, stand hair on end, provoke convulsions, give hiccups.
Create/Destroy Body: cause creatures to exist that did not exist before -- known creatures (difficult), such as alligators, saplings, bees, and fruit; and unknown things (extremely difficult) such as winged cats, apples that taste like chocolate, etc (see Create Mind). Or cause living creatures to disappear.
Heal/Harm Body: cure wounds, repair torn ligaments, salve burns, regrow teeth; also cause wounds to appear, make heart race, crack bone, rot teeth, spread disease.
Know Body: diagnose illness, locate individuals.
Move Body: allow living things (but not necessarily their possessions) to levitate, move via telekinesis, walk through walls, teleport.
Transform Body: change shape, grow and shrink, alter physical capabilities.
Control Earth: change weather and wind, trigger traps and mechanical devices, cause earthquakes and tsumanis, shape clouds, open sinkholes, open and close locks, start avalanches.
Create/Destroy Earth: creation/destruction of any inanimate object.
Heal/Harm Earth: mending, repair, damaging, breaking any inanimate object.
Know Earth: find flaws in objects, locate objects, identify objects.
Move Earth: allow non-living things to levitate, move via telekinesis, walk through walls, teleport.
Transform Earth: change one thing into another, warp shape, add capabilites.
Control Energy: Make flames or lights dance, shrink, roar; change temperature; manipulate shadows.
Create/Destroy Energy: make light, electricity.
Heal/Harm Energy: repair energy containment, cause/fix rifts.
Know Energy: see with sound alone, or hear with sight, reveal temperature, sense stress in objects or the ground (detect earthquakes)
Move Energy: cool a building in summer by moving heat.
Transform Energy: change light's velocity, make magnetism affect gold, reverse gravity.
Control Spirit: alter target's emotions.
Create/Destroy Spirit: no magic is powerful enough to do this.
Heal/Harm Spirit: numb emotions, cure depression.
Know Spirit: locate life, read emotions, communicate with the dead.
Move Spirit: allow dead spirit to be linked to an object.
Transform Spirit: introduce new emotions.
Control Mind: make target think or not think about chosen topic.
Create/Destroy Mind: Needed with Create Body to add impulse to warm flesh. Destroy Mind puts the target in a vegetative state.
Heal/Harm Mind: cure/cause insanity.
Know Mind: read thoughts, memories.
Move Mind: out of body experiences.
Transform Mind: add/remove memories, alter perceptions, mental illusions.
Control Time: make the target speed up or slow down.
Create/Destroy Time: create -- no time goes by for the world, but the target has "free time" to use; destroy -- the world proceeds as usual, but no time passess for the target.
Heal/Harm Time: form/heal time warps, rifts.
Know Time: see into the past and future.
Move Time: travel back and forth in time.
Transform Time: divorce the relation between cause and effect.
