Violet [20 May 05] Indulging the blogger's paternal pride.

This blog was on hiatus from 27 April to 20 May, following the birth of my daughter, Violet Alice. She arrived on May 2, 2005, three months early at 1 pound, 13.4 ounces. She's doing well in the hospital, and as of this writing is just 0.2 ounces shy of 2 pounds. Please forgive a new father's bad poetry!

Update [30 Dec 06] I should mention that Violet is doing really well these days. She is up over 20 lbs and 30 inches! She's healthy, happy, talking, running, and growing ... and her proud papa is even prouder.
